Students and staff at Dutchess BOCES’ Resilience Academy received certificates and praise for their efforts this school year during the school’s Fourth Quarter Award Ceremony on June 13. Fifty-nine students received awards in 27 award categories, while six staff members received awards in five categories.
Dutchess BOCES not only provides career and technical education for students through its Career and Technical Institute, but gives them real world experience by hosting some of those students as interns throughout the year and placing others outside the agency.
Due to the anticipated high heat index, Dutchess BOCES will dismiss all students at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 23; Tuesday, June 24, and Wednesday, June 25. This decision was made to ensure the safety and comfort of our students.
Nine dedicated Dutchess BOCES staff members earned tenure during the 23024-25 school year and were honored at a reception during the June Board of Trustees meeting.
Representatives of 13 Dutchess County school districts gathered at Villa Borghese in Wappingers Falls to honor each district’s distinguished graduates at the Dutchess BOCES Distinguished Graduate Recognition Breakfast this month. Each high school recognized two students.

The early childhood education student was one of 321 students recognized for completing their programs at CTI’s Recognition Ceremony at the Majed J. Nesheiwat Convention Center in Poughkeepsie June 12.
Sixteen Career & Technical Institute second-year students who were involved in SkillsUSA, were honored for their hard work during a ceremony June 11.
“I’ve got this…I’ve got this!” said Jacob Lloyd as a teacher readied him to enter the Salt Point Center gymnasium for the 8th Grade Moving Up Ceremony and walk down the aisle to "Pomp and Circumstance."
Thirty-seven Career & Technical Institute (CTI) students received over $14,000 worth of awards generously donated by Dutchess BOCES’ community partners during the annual CTI Awards Ceremony on June 8.
In the last few weeks before summer break, Resilience Academy students participated in fun activities, including tie-dyeing shirts to wear during the end-of-year assembly tomorrow, June 13.
