Dutchess County BOCES, Dutchess Community College, Wappingers Central School District, The Council of Industry and OnSemi have partnered to develop a new Early College High School PTECH that is hands-on, project-based and prepares students for high-wage, high-skill and high-demand careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
Our initial pathway will be Electrical Technology (ELT). Electrical Technology drives our world — from powerplant generators and electrical grids to wearable electronics and solar panels. Students will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and the opportunity to explore cutting edge science from the moment you begin your pathway. Practice automated assembly in DCC's “smart factory.” Gain experience with programmable controls, sensors, robotics and manufacturing.
Students will leave the program with the skills to fill many manufacturing jobs in Dutchess County or to continue their formal education.
