[PIC] Center for Sustainability and Climate Education at Dutchess BOCES Banner
The new Dutchess BOCES Center for Sustainability and Climate Education is offering free workshops beginning this month. The events are available to educators, administrators, students, facilities and operations staff, and community members.

The sessions will focus upon leadership development, professional learning opportunities, curriculum design/development/evaluation, student empowerment/engagement, and strategic planning for a sustainable future.

“We are offering these free supports throughout this school year to introduce ourselves and our services,” said Director of Educational Resources Jenny Schinella.  “It’s our mission to engage and empower students, educators, and community members in order to ensure a sustainable community for current and future generations.”

Registration is now open. Here are detailed descriptions of the workshops including links to sign up.

In addition to the seven workshop sessions, the Center will also host a Spring Summit: Educators and Youth for a Sustainable Future on Wednesday, April 14.  The event will provide participants with opportunities to learn, to share success stories, and to network with others interested in building a sustainable future.
