The Dutchess BOCES Adult Learning Institute has established The North River Academy, a new program that helps students improve English language skills while training them to become nursing assistants. Instruction includes academics, employment readiness, and citizenship information in conjunction with the nurse assistant program. The program is available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and New York State Department of Education - Adult Education Programs and Policy division.
