Mastering the Art of Cooking

Chefs prepare food in a kitchen
This is a career path course that will prepare students for career opportunities in the culinary industry.  The class is a mixture of theory and hands-on work. Students will learn about baking and pastry, garde manager, fish/meat identification, bread making, fresh pasta and much more.

By the end of the class, students will be able to understand safety and sanitation in the kitchen, specific culinary tasks, and how to convert recipes and use specific baking techniques. Students who have completed this course will be prepared to work in a restaurant, bakery or café,

The ServSafe Food Handlers Course is an optional part of the course. Completing the mandated amount of hours required and passing the examination will enable students to become ServSafe Certified.

Students are required to come to class prepared and in the proper attire each day.
