[PIC] Segment From The Dutchess BOCES 2019 Employee Recognition Award Video Presentation
Dutchess BOCES broke tradition this week by announcing that the 2019 Employee Recognition Awards were being presented to all employees due to their dedication and contributions in support of students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Typically, the awards are presented in June to five exceptional employees nominated by their peers.  They were established decades ago to annually honor one employee from each the following categories: administrator, clerical, instructional support, support staff, and teacher.

The announcement was made via a video emailed to all employees on September 23.

Board of Trustees President Edward McCormick opens the video noting that 2019 was an unbelievable year with many accomplishments.  Following a video montage of employees, District Superintendent Dr. Richard Hooley announces the awards

“This year in the face of the pandemic we had staff in every department go over and above to help support kids,” he said.  “This is very, very well deserved and I want to thank everyone.”

Supervisors distributed personalized certificates to all staff members after the video release.

“I want to thank you, Dr. Hooley, and all the staff for the exceptional work you are doing each and every day,” said McCormick.
