Deputy Superintendent Cora Stempel welcomed new and returning Dutchess BOCES staff members Tuesday, September 4th at the annual Convocation. More than 75 new employees joined the Agency for the 2018-19 school year. Board of Trustees President Edward McCormick was on hand to offer encouragement and well wishes on behalf of the Board.
Continuing initiatives such as literacy and support of special education students were highlighted. In addition, the superintendent previewed a presentation about the BOCES Capital Project, which will be up for a public vote on December 11th. After Superintendent Dr. Richard Hooley, along with his senior staff and union leadership, thanked the BOCES team and predicted an outstanding year of teaching and learning, staff members attended professional development training sessions. Students returned to BOCES classrooms September 5th.
