BOCES students at Arlington High School spent time in October learning about the importance of donating, volunteering, and supporting the community.

The Activities of Daily Living (ADL) classes then took action and became volunteers for the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.

All of the students in the ADL classes baked cake pops and dog biscuits during class to be sold at “Hits for Hope,” a softball tournament/bake sale to benefit Miles of Hope. All of the funds raised will support Hudson Valley women and families affected by breast cancer.

The goal of the ADL classes is help students to develop skills they will need to live on their own after finishing school.
